How Is The Digital Revolution Shaping Our Industry? 24 February 2012
Friday 24 February 2012 – Limassol, Cyprus
What is the meeting about?
The meeting will explore challenges and opportunities presented by the digital revolution. For example:
• How can we address the digital/social challenges and capitalize on the opportunities ahead and stay relevant?
• What are examples of new and innovative research approaches that address the digital forces: connectivity, convergence, social media?
• How do these forces affect the way agencies are structured and operate as well as the skill sets they should seek in new applicants?
• How can we maintain relevance in light of the increasing adoption of data crunching and DIY research?
Even if you’ve been here before, there’s always a new world to discover. Cyprus lies at the crossroads of three continents, where East meets West and a new experience awaits for you under the sun every day. Where Championship Golf courses, inviting beaches, and breathtaking mountain trails lie around luxurious hotels. The winter is mild and mostly sunny. Enjoy the island’s beauty once more.
An island whose rich dramatic history can be traced back over nine thousand years; an island so coveted over the centuries that it has been invaded and claimed by a fascinating mixture of civilizations from near and far all of which have left their culture and shaped its character.
An island whose archaeology stems from the Neolithic Age, the Ancient Greeks and the Roman period; where churches and monasteries still stand from Byzantine times; castles and palaces from the days of Crusaders and Frankish Lusignans and splendid city walls from Venetian days.
Our hotel is the 5 star Amathus Beach near Limassol and adjacent to the famous Amathus ruins.
There will be a gala dinner for members and their guests after the formal sessions on Friday 24th February
What is included
We are keeping the member fee per delegate to a minimum £195 (€220); this includes registration, attendance at all the sessions, lunch (with wine), tea/coffee breaks and the gala dinner. The delegate fee is payable by all attending the sessions, including those giving short presentations. There will be no charge for accompanying persons but they may not attend the formal sessions: there will however be an extra charge for the gala dinner guests.
For non members there is a slightly higher fee. In the case of new members who attend the meeting and join within 2 months we will waive the joining fee and refund the difference between the member and non-member meeting fees.
The Gala Dinner is included in the full delegate fee. This will cover aperitifs at the restaurant and a gourmet meal with wine. There will be a cost of £80 (€90) per person for guests
How to get there
Cyprus has two international airports at Larnaca and Paphos (both accessible to our hotel) with flights to most parts of Europe and other destinations.
